Spending too much money just to look good is one of the myths in the fashion world which can be and has been debunked. You do not need to empty your bank account or use up all your savings. All you have to do is have a good line of strategy. These strategies are high-end tips we will be sharing with you in this column. This is because we love you and we want you to step out every day, looking and feeling confident, and knowing that all your money wasn't spent to look fabulous for just one day.
So, here we go!

1. STAY OFF THE TREND

Trendy clothes are beautiful, no doubt about that. Most of them are expensive as well. But they can also pose a problem when they finally leave the trend. Trends can change in days and months and it'll suck to have them sitting in your closet and you can't wear them. Instead, buy clothes that are evergreen. You can also buy items of clothing that will make you unique and feel confident.

2. TRY DIYs

So you have some old clothes that still look good but you don't want to throw them away. Or you have some clothes from last year's trend and you spent a lot of money to get them but you can't wear them this year. Why not practice DIYs? YouTube has a lot of DIYs you can try out on your clothes. This will help you save money and also create beautiful styles out of your clothes. Now you can slay effortlessly without breaking the bank!

3. THRIFT STORES ROCK!

Thrift stores are a vast and mostly untapped resource for amazing outfits waiting to be mined thoroughly. You are on a budget and you want to turn heads, visit a thrift store today! They contain outfits that you do not see every day and everywhere, and they sell at affordable rates. Yes, most of them may not be designer clothes but they are of great quality. There are so many thrift stores online and offline. However, we'll advise you don't shop outfits from just any thrift store, especially online thrift stores. Be sure that the outfits on sale are of good quality before you spend your money. Remember you're on a budget.

4. ACCESSORIZE

Diamonds are a girl's best friend and so are accessories. They are the sparkles that make your outfits pop and stand out. When we say accessories, we do not mean only pieces of jewellery. Hats, scarves, glasses, belts, headbands etc are items that are look-lifters. They will also help you create your new and unique style personality. You should also pick colours in jewellery that are subtle and can easily go with any outfit of your choice.

5. TRADE FAIRS ARE YOUR FRIENDS

Where you can find affordable items of clothing that are also of good quality is at the fair. Fashion trade fairs are springing all over the country once in a while and these are places you should go to if you're on a budget. Your bargaining options are close to limitless! And because of this, we advise you to go with cash rather than your debit/credit card to avoid the temptation of overspending. One of the many reasons you should love going to trade fairs is because you will find items of clothing in some stalls that are not in the trend but are evergreen. Buying such clothing will help you stay on your budget and also prevent you from owning outfits that will be impossible to wear once the trend fades away.

6. TAKE A BREAK

Lol! Did this shock you? It shouldn't because you need a break. Not from looking superb but from whatever it is that is stressing you out. Looking beautiful and slaying effortlessly doesn't only have to do with your wardrobe but also your face, body and your mind. When you're well-rested inside, you will glow on the outside. Visit the gym sometimes or work out from home, whichever is comfortable for you. Go to the spa and have a good body massage, take a good long sleep, exfoliate and moisturize. Trust me, when you take a good break, whatever outfit you put on will be an added factor to make you look good and feel great.

Once in a while, you can buy expensive designer clothes if you feel up to it and if you have the money to spare. These tips are to help you save your money and budget your income better. Nothing should stop your slay. You deserve to look beautiful and feel beautiful every day.
