The stage play ‘The STRUGGLE: A tale of the Niger Delta, told from the creek’ produced by Active playhouse hits the stage on the 9th & 10th of August, 2017.



The STRUGGLE:A tale of the Niger Delta, told from the creek is a total theatre production with rich drama, music and dance. The play also brings to the fore, the real story of the Niger Delta struggle and the happenings in the Delta creek that many has avoided.



THE STRUGGLE, written by Dan Kpodoh who is an all round theatre practitioner, showcases the cultural attributes of the Niger delta people. The fight for survival which brought about the life in the creek. The play poses questions such as:

Have you ever wondered why most of the young men in our various communities took to Arms?

Have you ever asked what made them resort to pipeline VANDALISM , KIDNAPPING and other SOCIETAL ILLS?

Did you know how they came about with the Freedom Fighters?

Have you made Research about the NIGER DELTA STRUGGLE?
